Merge Chains such as Stone Bricks can be viewed by selecting an object and hitting the ? icon on its Information Bar. These panels only show what you have discovered so far.

Summary

A Merge Chain is a series of objects of consecutive levels that form a linear path. Usually, objects in a Chain must be merged to obtain higher-level items, but some Chains progress differently, such as Magnificent Artefacts and Zen Temples, which require Dragon Gems to upgrade.

Most of the main Merge Chains are obtained and discovered early on, such as by-products from merging/harvesting other objects, or through discovering them on Dead Land in Camp. Other Merge Chains are obtained in special ways, such as Autumn Trees, Shadow Trees, or Honey. These are generally obtained in places like the Buy Menu, Treasure Tower, or as rewards from other items (such as Small Fluffs giving Shadow Trees when tapped).

Merge Chain Categories

The Merge Chains in the game can be organized into different categories. These generally include:

  • Main Merge Chains. These are standard Chains which usually have a Wonder, a corresponding Dragon breed, and connections to the other main Chains. These Chains appear frequently in the game and are featured in the early Levels. Chains in this category include:

Diagram

The diagram below shows the main Merge Chains and the Dragons associated with them. Note that the Hills Merge Chain can only be obtained mainly by harvesting level 3 Hills or higher, and cannot be obtained from the other main Merge Chains. They must be originally obtained from the Occult Chests bought from the Buy Menu, found on Dead Land under the Evil Fog in Camp, harvested from the Zen Temples, or earned through features such as Dragon Missions or Treasure Tower.
