Summary[]
Since Version 2.0.2, various Levels were changed into Challenge Levels. Currently, there are 60 Challenge Levels.
These Levels can be identified by a gray goblet, and large-font names starting with "Challenge" and followed by a number. Challenges must be completed within a set time limit, and are required to be won at least once to advance in the World Map.
Unlike most levels, there are no intermediate goals in Challenge Levels, and the prize for completing the level will be a dragon. (When the challenge is completed, an offer to double the reward will be offered for Dragon Gems). After the first win, the level can be replayed as a Challenge until it is conquered two more times. Each Challenge will require completion in shorter and shorter times.
After completing all three tiers as a Challenge Level, the Level's regular name will be revealed, and it can be played normally like non-challenge Levels. The goblet will turn gold and will have additional decorations to signify the completion of the challenge.
During the Challenge Level, a dedicated shop can be accessed in the bottom right of the screen. This shop has various items for Dragon Gems that can assist the player to complete the challenge faster.

Tips & Trivia[]
- If the Level page here doesn't have a walkthrough that gets you through a challenge, search online for "Merge Dragons Challenge" followed by the challenge number for video walkthroughs.
- Challenge Levels do not have Goal Stars until you complete all three tiers of the challenge. This makes Challenge Levels the only levels that must be replayed in order to obtain the three Goal Stars.
- Two of the Challenge Levels are Secret Levels. As the Challenge Levels are marked by a large gray goblet, this renders the "secret" part of the Secret Levels irrelevant, but their status as Secret Levels within the wiki is maintained.
