Overview[]

Den Events are a type of Merge Dragons Event that originally started on March, 2021. As of May 2022 Den Events are on a hiatus.

Unlike regular events, Den Events are completed by merging objects to earn points. Reaching certain personal thresholds rewarded you with different items and Event Dragons. You had to be in a Den to participate in the event. If you quit the den during the event, you can't continue the event, but you will still get the rewards you already earned.

Flufflands was the first Den Event that lasted from March 5th to March 8th of 2021. It was a beta test available only to randomly selected dens. Users could win personal rewards based on their own progress and den rewards based on overall den progress. An Events tab in the den menu showed a den leaderboard during the event. Similar to an out-of-camp event, Flufflands had a separate event board that could be accessed by a button on the screen so users could freely navigate between camp, world map, and event.

The Flufflands board was mostly covered by clouds at the beginning, with cloud keys getting more difficult to obtain and dead land requiring more healing power as the game progressed. Later occurrences of the event featured significantly less fog. Unlike out-of-camp events, there were many active merge chains and dragons. Instead of coins or stones, many harvestable items yielded Wishing Well Coins; these could be merged up to an Aureus and tossed in the Wishing Well for Boons, extra points on certain actions.

Mysterious burrows: harvest from living stones (instead of stone currency), merge up to level 5, Fluff items spawn one item per burrow at level 2 & above; level 5 can be harvested for random items.

Wishing Wells & Boons[]

A Wishing Well in the center of the event board could be activated for a Boon by tossing in a gold Aureus coin. Boons last from 10 to 30 minutes, giving an extra point value for certain merge actions, like "merge 3 fruit," "merge any seeds" or "merge any 5 trees." During the Boon, floating items such as life orbs, leaves or seeds can help you complete the task.

Event Rewards & Strategy[]

Individual players earn event points by merging items, with more points for higher-level objects. The following table is based on the point systems from prior events. Note that it is not possible to make Level 10 items as Level 9 items will merge into den points only.

In earlier occurrences of the den event, it was advantageous to 3-merge unless higher-level objects can be harvested for higher-level points (for example, life flowers). This is because points are earned in the event for merging, regardless of how many products result from the merge. However, the Frogan Wells den event on January 7th 2022 was the first event where bonuses were given for performing 5-merges. For both points' formats, mass merges are still not recommended.

Concentrating on making high level merges that correspond to your current boon is one of the fastest ways to earn points.

Of all the merge chains, it is relatively effective to have some play time invested in fruit trees, since not only do they provide a steady source of event points, but also a steady supply of Areus coins that could almost keep boons going indefinitely. With easily unlocked Fountains of Legends, a pair of raspberry trees will be easily attainable, with which one can easily score some 2000+ bonus points during a boon of fruits just by harvesting and 5-merging with the 2 given dragons.

It might be effective to start the very first boon before unlocking any new ones since with a very limited choices from the pool, one could expect more rewarding ones.

Floating objects corresponding to a merge chain (e.g. mysterious seeds of the grass chain) might occur regularly during a boon of that chain, which could be utilized to score bonus points and upgrade items of that chain to improve future efficiencies.

Personal rewards in Flufflands were similar to those in out-of-camp events, with eggs, trees, flowers and nests of increasing value. Dens earn rewards based on the overall point total of all active players. The point total to get the final Den Reward (an egg nest) 620,000.

In out-of-camp events, players can leave the game running and allow dragons to harvest life flowers and event rewards (passive harvesting), but this was not a viable strategy in Flufflands. Points are earned only by merging, so active play was required, even to harvest life orbs (dragons had too many other things to do).

Event Quests[]

Several quests related to objects needed for cloud keys: spirit lanterns, dark roses and spectral bush. Harvest XYZ specific number of times: dragon trees, fruit. Create Three Life Orbs of Heavens.

First Occurrence[]

The first occurrence ran from the 5th to the 8th of March 2021. It was a Beta test released only for a few selected Dens.

Personal Rewards[]

The Event offered 10 prizes, one for each tier of points accumulated. Every time sufficient points were accumulated, the counter was reset for the next goal. The points could be achieved by merging various objects and opening the Secret Flufflands Capsules.

Unlike the merging dynamic of the in-Camp Events, in Den Events the amount of points you receive per merge is determined not by items' quantity but by their level. Meaning merging any number of objects will give you the same amount of points as a three-merge, and merging high level items will make you earn significantly more points. To increase the points you gain you can throw level 5 Aureus Coins into the Divine Wishing Well, which will grant you a random Boon.

Event Quests[]

For the duration of the Event 10 Quests were available (3 at a time). Upon completion each one rewarded either a Moon Dragon Egg or an Event Quest Star which could be tapped for level 2-3 Wishing Well Coins, Sprouting Dragon Trees, Lawn Grass, Prism Flower Buds and Young Autumn Trees.

The Quests were divided in 3 groups - top star, middle star and bottom star. Once a Quest was completed, you could tap the "Next Quest" button in order to see the next Quest in line.

Den Rewards[]

The Den Events introduced an additional tier of 4 Den Rewards which can be won through joint efforts. It unlocks after your 5th Personal Reward when you earn 5,000 total Event Points.

The amount of Rewards received by all participating Den's members is determined by the Den Score, which is a total sum of all Event Points they've earned. The Den Score requirements for the Den Rewards are the same no matter how many members there are in the Den.

All earned Den Rewards will arrive in the Camp after the Event is concluded.

Secret Flufflands Capsules[]

Four types of Event Treasure Capsules were offered during the Event. A Bronze Treasure Capsule could be gained for free once every 3 hours. The guaranteed points rewards appeared in the form of Den Points Merge Chain.

One Golden Treasure Capsule that could be found on the Event's map had three Vermillion Dragon Trees in it.

The shop could be accessed from the bottom right of the screen and unlocked when you had at least 55 land healed in the Event level.

A special shop was available during the Event, and all items could be bought with Gems. The shop could be accessed from the bottom right of the screen, under the Secret Flufflands Capsules shop, and unlocked when you had at least 65 land healed in the Event level.

One-Time Offer[]

For the duration of the Event a one-time offer was available, which could be accessed from the middle right of the screen both in Camp and in Event. For 10$ (in the U.S., the price varied depending on the country of the user) you could get a Nest of Turtle Dragon Eggs, a level 3 Aqua Dragon, a Fruit Tree Totem and a Death Totem.

Second Occurrence[]

The second occurrence lasted for 3 days, from the 26th to the 29th of March 2021, and was the first Den Event available to anyone who was a part of a Den.

This Event introduced the Chameleon Dragons and the Giant Lucky Coin Event Trophy as unique Rewards.
