Star Quests replaced the Camp Quests as a new goal system for players with 1,000 Dragon Power and higher.
The feature started its Beta testing phase with Version 8.6.0 (2nd of June 2022), and was released for everyone with Version 10.0.0 (15th of February, 2023).
However, the players with less than 1,000 Dragon Power remain on the old Camp Quests system until required dragon power is reached.
The main differences between Camp Quests and Star Quests include:
You're prompted to complete your objectives both in Camp and in the Levels.
During events there are event-related quests.
Quests are randomly generated, so you can't plan ahead
There is a daily limit of 12 quests per day and quests individually return as the 24 hrs pass.
Achieving the goal rewards you with both the Goal Stars (occasionally a Dragon Star) and the Star Points, which are used to increase your Star Rank and to earn different prizes.
The number of Star Points to be earned with a quest increases with the number of Quests in that category that are completed
Once a day a Quest can be skipped for free, additional skips cost 10 Dragon Gems, the first Quest can't be skipped
As you collect Star Points and increase your Star Rank, you can earn random objects (such as Prism Flowers), Star Dragon Eggs and Nests, Magic Coins (in increasing value) and special Star Rank Chests of increasing level. You get one or more Rank Chests of the related type for reaching a new Rank and the additional rewards for reaching the "Stars" between the Ranks.
Star Rank Chests cannot be merged.
Star Quests are the only source of the new Star Dragons breed.
Quests[]
The five locations for quests to be completed are in Camp, in Levels, the Season Portal, the Event Portal, and in Events. The Season Portal and Event Portal Requests can be completed from actions in Camp, Levels and Events, but the quests for in Camp, Levels, and Events have to be completed where it states. The good news is to watch for if two quests are extremely similar, like Merge Shrub Sprouts (0/2), and Merge 5 Shrub Sprouts (0/2), or Activate Kattryx (0/3) and Activate Kattryx (0/2). Achieving the higher number one will count for the other.
What follows are hints on completing the Star Quest counter the quickest.
These are quests that take place in Events, and cannot be completed outside of them. These generally include harvesting or merging event-related objects or objects commonly found in events.
In Camp quests seem to be the easiest to knock off. Some in bold font might have you reaching for that once-a-day skip if you are gem-short for Topiaries or Mysterious Idols.
In World Map Levels it is possible to accomplish one, sometimes several quests, per Level. To keep up fast progress, cruise the Cost of Chalice levels at 1 and 2 first. Collect achieved quests by claiming them when the small red exclamation mark appears in the top left, and perhaps another In World Map Level will appear that you can quickly play in the same level. Be sure to exit the Level by selecting Reset Level unless you have to play it out to complete the World Map. If you don't select Reset, the next time you play the level the Chalice Cost will be more.
The five quest categories in In World Map Levels are Activate, Create, Harvest, Have, and Merge. Once you have an idea of the quest but are not yet sure where to look, review the list below or click on the starting Levels Table (1) Chalice images shown on the table on Guide: Where to farm Dragon Stars and Cosmos Eggs. The map images increase from thumbnail to a large screen, with a right arrow option that allows detailed viewing for the possible Level that might have the Quest completion opportunity.
So far only a few Quests require knowledge of Merge Chains. For example "Have a Fungus Log" requires a harvestable Level 4 Mushroom or Magic Mushroom, and a Dragon in the Level to harvest it. The Levels might have Mushrooms, but all Level 3 and lower, and/or might not have Dragons or not have Mushrooms, Magic Mushrooms, Bushes, or even Misty Mountains to start a Rain Puddle - but with a little looking, the level The Crescent right from the start has a a Level 4 Green Dream Shroom and a Sharp Dragon to harvest it.
Note: The goal of listing One Chalice levels foremost is to accomplish Quests quickly, and repeatedly, as the Quest list refreshes. But any Level of any number of Chalices that has a Quest that can be accomplished nearly immediately or more cleanly, is a definite plus to record and add to this list (but it would be nice to note that it costs more chalices). When there are several from among the One Chalice levels to choose from, see if the Levels below actually are the quickest, most direct, and get to the goal without much other play.
Additional special item rewards to the Star Chests are provided along each stage of increasing Star Points. The Shield Representation features a select dragon highlighted inside a shield with a draped red banner that shows the First, Second, and Third Star filled in for each Star Rank.

Continue playing for Goal Stars. Goal Stars are highly useful In Camp not only for their contents as usual, but for play in in Camp & Chill. Players have competed for the fastest completion of a Camp & Chill and have discovered several Level 6 The Cosmos Star, tapped to completion, rockets you to the win.
Also, incredibly known as "The Glitch", players have reported being reset to Star Quest Rank 10 through what has so far been attributed to randomness, and with some elation, are able to play through again to the final rank, and thus have all the incredible loot and Star Dragon eggs. Hope it's you!
